Finally, they said, “Make clear what the company’s position is to protect the artists publicly.” “We strongly demand that YG’s official legal response notice be issued against those who do secondary harm to Jennie, spread malicious rumours, and harm them in a legal way. We request that you take official legal action against malicious commenters and malicious video uploaders in Korea who can be identified as a result of this,” he emphasized.

Below is a statement from BLACKPINK JENNIE’s global fandom.

name statement

Jenny’s Global Fan Union has been constantly conveying the seriousness of the matter to YGE and related officials regarding the protection of YG Entertainment artist Jenny’s privacy over the past few weeks. We tried to convey the concerns of our supporters as carefully as possible, considering the possible impact on them, and we believed that YGE was responding in some way, and we waited patiently.

But considering the circumstances so far, it seems that the fans’ appeals have not been in vain.

Fans are only interested in Jenny’s personal health and well-being.

We would like to emphasize this once again in this statement. The authenticity of the matter is not in the interest of the fans. However, I would like to point out that two facts are certain in this case. It is spread regardless of the intention of the person involved, and many people consume it maliciously, which directly affects the individual artist of your company. This is a serious privacy and defamation issue that YG Entertainment should take seriously legally.

Supporters are very concerned, but we know that it is difficult to expect any immediate action and results at this time, given the sensitivity of the matter. Nevertheless, YGE’s continued silence is difficult to understand.

Fans want one thing right now, and we demand it strongly.

Officially explain your company’s position to protect artists. We strongly demand that YGE be notified of an official legal response to those who use the matter as an excuse to spread malicious rumors and harm Jenny in domestic online communities, SNS, and YouTube. We ask you to take legal action against domestic malicious commenters and malicious video uploaders who can legally identify you.

The company’s natural mission is to protect its artists. I hope you will be able to accept the demands of the fans that have been going on over the years.
