Among the 3rd new town in the metropolitan area, Gyeyang Public Housing District in Incheon will be the first to dig the first shovel.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it will hold a groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow for the Incheon Gyeyang Techno Valley public housing area, attended by officials from the Incheon Metropolitan City, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and the Incheon Metropolitan City Corporation.

Incheon Gyeyang Techno Valley Public Housing Area is the first place to start construction among the 3rd new town designated by the government in October 2019 to stabilize the housing market in the metropolitan area.

With a total area of ​​3.33 million square meters, a total of 17,000 housing units, including 9,000 public housing units including youth housing, will be built.

Our aim is to move in in the first half of 2026.

Parks and green areas four times the size of Yeouido Park are spread into 5 linear parks with high perceptions of residents to create an urban environment focused on exchanges, communication and pedestrians.

Areas in need of strategic development will be designated as special planning zones to enable creative use of space, and creative ideas from the private sector will be collected and created.

The central hub area, located at the junction of transport such as the rapid bus system and S-BRT, is planned as a complex complex with residential, commercial, self-sufficient facilities and green areas, making it a landmark for Gyeyang New Town, Incheon. .

In addition, through a self-sustaining land 1.6 times the size of Pangyo Techno Valley, it is a distribution and provision policy for job functions concentrated in Seoul to Incheon.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to start construction in the first half of next year in other new towns, such as Wangsuk in Namyangju, starting with the start of construction in Gyeyang, Incheon.
