[국제]”Ga-ori Zhang, accused of sexual assault, was in contact with IOC Chairman Bach during his tenure”

Former Chinese deputy prime minister Zhang Gaori, who is accused of sexually assaulting tennis star Feng Shunyi, was deeply involved in the bid and preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics to be held in February next year, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the basis of IOC documents that former Deputy Prime Minister Chang led the highest-level steering group that managed and overseen the Olympic bid during his tenure, and in particular, was in direct contact with IOC President Thomas Bach.

Chairman Bach released a video call with Shen Peng on the 22nd after questioning his whereabouts after claiming that Peng was sexually assaulted by former Deputy Prime Minister Zhang Ga-ori. When this was revealed, voices doubting the relationship between the two came out.

Global tennis star Feng Shunyi revealed earlier this month that she was sexually assaulted by former Deputy Prime Minister Zhang Ga-ori from 2007 to 2012.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Chang has not appeared in public for nearly five months since attending the Communist Party’s 100th anniversary celebrations held in Beijing on July 1.
