At around 1:00 pm local time on the 19th, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake that shook central and western Mexico damaged more than 200 buildings, killed two people and injured 10 people.
Mexican authorities said on the 20th local time that “two people were killed and another 10 were injured in Manzanillo, Colima, close to the epicenter,” Mexican authorities said.
The casualties were caused by being crushed by the structure of a shopping center or by a collapsing gym roof, with the states of Michoacan and Colima suffering in particular.
