Monkeypox has also been introduced into Southeast Asia.

Singapore’s health ministry said a British male flight attendant had tested positive two days ago.

This is the first time that the introduction of monkey pox has been confirmed in Southeast Asia.

The confirmed person is currently hospitalized in the ward of the National Center for Infectious Diseases and is in good health, the Ministry of Health said.

Health authorities have identified 13 people who have come in contact with a British confirmed case and quarantined them for 3 weeks.###
