[국제]U.S. recommends ‘Booster Shot vaccination’ for all adults… Countries around the world take steps to respond to Omicron

Amid growing vigilance about the new mutation of COVID-19, Omicron, the United States has recommended that all adults receive booster shots and booster vaccinations.

Countries around the world have taken rapid action to prevent the Omicron infection, such as the UK expanding the booster shot to those over 18 years of age.

The state of California has made it mandatory to present vaccination records when entering restaurants, bars, and theaters.

Even in the United States, the outbreak of Omicron infection is considered a matter of time, and very strong quarantine measures have been taken.

As concerns about the spread of Omicron infection grew, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention raised its recommendation that all U.S. adults should receive a booster dose.

Previously, booster shots were limited to those aged 50 and over.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention emphasized the importance of vaccination and booster shots with the advent of Omicron.

The UK and Denmark have also expanded their boostershot target to all adults over the age of 18.

Countries around the world are promoting booster shot vaccination because they expect to be able to prevent severe exacerbations even if they are infected with Omicron.

Pfizer plans to apply for BoosterShot approval to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for 16-17 year-olds soon, so there is a possibility that the target audience will be expanded to adolescents.

Since the advent of the Omicron mutation, countries around the world are moving rapidly, taking the expansion of booster vaccination as the top priority along with entry restrictions.
