(New York = Yonhap Infomax) Reporter Yoon Young-sook = Despite news that the Federal Reserve System’s (Fed) preferred inflation index is slowing, the New York stock market showed a mixed trend as it took a breather following the previous day’s sharp rise .
At the close of the New York Stock Exchange on the 1st (local time), the Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 recorded 34,400.51, down 189.26 points (0.55%) from the battlefield.
The Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 Index recorded 4,078.73, down 1.38 points (0.03%) from the battleground, and the Nasdaq Index rose 20.68 points (0.18%) to 11,488.67.
