It has been confirmed that a civilian woman, not an employee of the presidential office, was accompanying President Yoon Seok-yeol’s trip to the NATO summit.
It turns out that they not only rode the president’s private plane together, but also stayed at the local hotel that was the president’s quarters.

Last week’s NATO summit was the first overseas trip of President Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Kun-hee.
About 200 people, including President Yoon and his wife, the presidential office staff, and reporters, boarded the presidential plane and headed to Madrid, Spain.
However, in President Yoon’s entourage, Shin Mo, a civilian who was neither an employee of the presidential office nor a civil servant, was included.
During the tour, Shin stayed with President Yoon and his wife at the president’s dormitory in Madrid, and it is known that he actually performed the role of the second annex, such as checking the schedule and protocol of Mrs. Kim Kun-hee, a confidential matter for security.
Even early last month, as a member of a 15-person tour team, he went to Madrid, Spain with the staff of the Presidential Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and later, as a member of the advance team, departed for Spain 5 days earlier than President Yoon and his wife.
It is known that Shin had a personal relationship with Kim Gun-hee for a long time. Didn’t answer.
However, the presidential office delivered a brief statement regarding MBC’s related inquiries, saying, “Mr. Shin performed events such as event planning for no remuneration using his expertise while traveling abroad, and it is clear that there were no illegalities in the process.”
However, he did not answer questions about whether the budget for the presidential office was used for Shin’s Madrid hotel expenses and the cost of boarding Unit 1, etc.
