[단독] ‘Tera Luna’ Shin Hyun-seong Seized Search and Kwon Do-hyung’s Fund Flow Tracking

◀ anchor ▶

Prosecutors are the co-founders of the coin-generating company in relation to the ‘Tera, Luna crash’, a virtual currency where 99% of the market cap evaporated and investors suffered great losses.

The house of CEO Shin Hyun-seong was raided and searched.

The companies related to the other co-founder, CEO Kwon Do-hyeong, also conducted a search and seizure for the second day.

It seems that these founders first checked whether they stole funds.

Reporter Sohn Gu-min will deliver it exclusively.

Prosecutors searched and seized the home of Shin Hyun-seong, co-CEO of Terraform Labs, the issuer of Terra Luna coin, in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

CEO Shin Hyun-seong, who is also the chairman of the social commerce company ‘Tmon’, established ‘Teraform Labs’ in partnership with CEO Kwon Do-hyung in 2018.

At the same time, the prosecution also seized and searched Kernel Labs, an affiliate of Terraform Labs.

“(When will it be finished?) Nothing is planned.

Following the overnight seizure and search of 15 places, including 7 cryptocurrency exchanges such as Upbit and Bithumb, the search and seizure continued by expanding the target on the second day.

Prosecutors are said to have secured transaction details of CEO Kwon and others from a cryptocurrency exchange.

What stands out are the three companies that are related to the two co-representatives: ‘Kernel Labs’, ‘Cchai Corporation’, and ‘Flexi Corporation’.

‘Kernel Labs’ is a company that has a patent right on the basic principle of the Terra-Luna coin, and the patent developer is CEO Kwon Do-hyeong.

‘Chai’ was run by Shin Hyun-seong in the past, and ‘Flexi’ is a company where CEO Kwon Do-hyung is currently listed as a director.

Prosecutors suspect that Kwon and others paid money to ‘Kernel Labs’ in the name of royalties for patent rights, or actually extorted money through ‘Flexi’, an offshore company.

After analyzing the confiscated material and the flow of funds, the investigation team is planning to summon key people to investigate, but it is said that they have not yet figured out the whereabouts of CEO Kwon Do-hyung.
