[단독] The freezing costs capital theft? “Excessive gratitude revealed”

◀ anchor ▶

Intensive audits by the Audit and Inspection Board of heads of agencies appointed by the previous government continue.

In particular, Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commissioner Jeon Hyeon-hui has repeatedly argued that excessive audits aimed at him are being carried out.

For example, there was a time when the water pipe in the chairman’s residence was repaired because it was frozen, and it was said that the former chairman had embezzled this cost and forced the staff to do so.

This is an exclusive report from reporter Lee Ji-sun.

Last winter, when the cold wave continued, the veranda capital of the Sejong City Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Chairman’s residence was frozen.

Chairman Jeon Hyun-hee did not live in Sejong City and was not used.

A large amount of water flowed from the frozen water supply, and the ACRC only repaired it after receiving a call from the control office.

A total of 1 million won was spent on repairs and water bills for frozen water.

It was confirmed that it was the Audit and Inspection Board who drove the workers, saying, ‘It was not an ice accident, but rather it was Chairman Jeon Hyun-hee who corrupted the expenses of the residence.

An officer of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission said, “The Audit and Inspection Board forcefully investigated the administrative staff by asking them, ‘Wasn’t this the interference and unfair instructions of the chairman?’ It was proven that this was an accident caused by freezing, and only then did the Board of Audit and Inspection put an end to the frame of ‘theft of the chairman’.”

“(The Audit and Inspection Board) conducted an illegal audit (perceived by conciliation and intimidation) against the ACRC employees when the script did not go according to the pre-set script and the ACRC employees said they were ‘processing in principle. without unreasonable instructions’.”

Chairman Jeon Hyun-hee said it was a targeted inspection that removes dust and revealed other causes.

He claimed to have addressed the cost of 34,000 won for a lunch with the head of the press, as well as the cost of renting an obscure word for the promotion of the ACRC.

“Despite general pressure and targeted inspections, it has been confirmed that not a single case of illegal proceedings for criminal prosecution by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commissioner has been found.”

Chairman Jeon said, “The auditor is just harassing the workers without conducting an investigation.” He said he would take legal action after the audit.

In response, the Audit and Inspection Board said, “It is difficult to confirm the content being investigated, so stay tuned for the results.”
