[아시아경제 한승곤 기자] “Is Lee Jun-seok really the party representative?” , “I don’t know if it’s not just the voices in their 20s.”
The power of the people who received the most attention at the ‘6/11 National Congress’ was by far the’zeroth’ outsider Lee Jun-seok. Candidate Lee reached the finals with first place. Candidate Lee, born in 1985 and aged 36, will be the first in Korean political history to become the representative of a political party in the 30th round bargaining group, and political circles as well as young people in 2030, who are similar in age to Lee, are paying attention.
Candidate Lee was born in 1985 in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, and studied computer science and economics at Harvard University through Seoul Science High School. At the age of 29, he was selected as a member of the GNP emergency response committee and became known as the so-called’Park Geun-hye Kids’ and entered politics.
On the 29th, young men who met near the’Nowon Cultural Street’ in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, the hometown of Candidate Lee, responded that they were generally wondering about the gust of the former Choi Sang-won. However, there were many opinions that they did not know what policies and visions they have to prepare for the final election of the party.
Kim Mo, a college student in his twenties, said, “There are a lot of talks about Lee Jun-seok out of politics in Facebook and in the community.” He said, “There is also a story that (Lee Jun-seok) is conscious of Pyo and intentionally speaks, but I’m grateful for just telling me about it on the air,” he said.
Another young man in his twenties showed a strange reaction. He emphasized, “If a person who is not so different from our age plays the party representative, something will change a little (for us).” .
Park Mo, a 30-year-old office worker, expressed a positive view, saying that he did not expect the possibility that the former highest committee member would become the actual party representative. Mr. Park said, “It shows high approval ratings in the polls, but the opinions of the members of the People’s Power Party are different, but this is likely to be a variable.” He then predicted, “The unification of other candidates is also a variable.”
Meanwhile, in the 40s and 50s generation, negative views also emerged. Kim Mo, a self-employed self-employed man in his 40s, pointed out that the former Supreme Commissioner had no political experience. Mr. Kim said, “I don’t know what to do,” he said, “I don’t know,” he said, “I don’t know what to do,” he said. “Is there any qualities to take on the party of a country? Do you have such experience?” He criticized, “I have to suffer a little, but I wonder if that person can properly understand the grievances of the self-employed and the difficult parts of the elderly.” However, he stressed, “Even so, it is a good phenomenon that young people are popular in the political scene.”
A male taxi driver in his 50s who met at a taxi stand near Nowon Station revealed his political orientation as conservative. He pointed out that if Lee is elected as representative, the Democratic Party will have a strong boost, and the people’s strength will experience a dark period. He said, “If you look at passing the contest in first place, there will be no big crowds in the finals,” he said. “If Lee Jun-seok becomes the representative, he can turn his back on conservative areas such as Yeongnam,” he said. He emphasized, “From the standpoint of the Democratic Party, you can prepare for the presidential election while watching the shaking opposition party.”
Meanwhile, the Power of the People will hold a joint speech at Honam-Jeju at 2 pm on the 30th, at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, with five candidates from the party and the candidates of the top committee and youth top committee members who entered the finals. The candidates’ joint speeches will be held in Busan on the 2nd of next month, Daegu on the 3rd, and Daejeon on the 4th. ChoiThe president-elect of the bell party will be decided on the 11th of next month. In the preliminary contest, candidates Na Gyeong-won, Lee Jun-seok, Jo Gyeong-tae, Joo Ho-young, and Hong Mun-pyo (in alphabetical order) among the eight candidates for the party’s representative race, took the final round.
