The Korean Netflix drama ‘Squid Game’ won the award at the ‘Gosum Awards’, an American independent film awards ceremony.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk and actors Jung-jae Lee and Ho-yeon Jeong are sharing the joy of receiving the award.
‘Squid Game’ was selected as the winner in the ‘Innovative Series of Over 40 Minutes’ at the 31st Gotham Awards held in New York, USA.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said that when he first wrote the script in 2009, people said it was unrealistic and strange, and that it took 12 years to show this drama to people, but it took less than 12 days to become the number one show on the planet.
Lee Jung-jae, who was nominated for the Best Acting Award in the ‘New Series’ category, did not receive the award, but it looks like they are celebrating the award together.
