The quarantine authorities are announcing the phases of local distancing today (27th) ahead of the implementation of the social distancing reform plan on the 1st of next month.
The quarantine authorities have collected the opinions of each local government on the phases of distancing in each region, and will make the final decision at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting this afternoon and disclose it.
Considering the current increase in the number of confirmed cases, it is likely that Stage 2 will be applied to the metropolitan area, and Stage 1 will be applied to most non-metropolitan areas except for some.
Accordingly, restaurants, cafes, and singing practice areas in the metropolitan area will be able to operate until 12:00 p.m.
The number of people allowed for private gatherings in the second stage is 8 people, but in the metropolitan area, up to 6 people are allowed until July 14, and then it will be expanded to 8 people.
In most non-metropolitan areas where Stage 1 is applied, there will be no restrictions on the number of private gatherings, as well as restrictions on business hours for multi-use facilities such as restaurants and cafes.
