Joo-han Oh abstained from the athletics marathon during the race.
Born in Kenya, a mid- and long-distance powerhouse in Africa, Oh Joo-han obtained Korean citizenship in September 2018. The Tokyo Olympics will be the first Olympics for Koreans to wear the Taegeuk mark.
Oh Joo-han participated in the 42.195km marathon race held at Odori Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan at 7 am on the 8th.
However, in the middle, he complained of pain in his left thigh and gave up the race.
