Ukrainian authorities revealed
Russian fighter jets bombed the day before

21 people, including two children, were killed in an airstrike by Russian troops in northeastern Ukraine, authorities said on the 8th.

According to the AFP news agency, the authorities said that “21 bodies were found at the scene” through a social network service (SNS).

Rescue authorities said, “The night before, an enemy aircraft launched a vicious attack on the apartments.”

Earlier, the authorities said that Russian military fighter jets attacked Sumi and nearby suburbs at 11 pm on the 7th (local time).

Emergency services said the death toll was nine, but the number has risen.

Meanwhile, Sumi is one of the cities where Russia has proposed a ceasefire to allow civilians to escape.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced on the same day that it had opened humanitarian channels to evacuate civilians in Kiiu, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Sumi and Chernivu.
