About a week before the 6.1 local election, a nationwide opinion poll conducted jointly by three terrestrial broadcasters, including MBC, showed that Seoul and Incheon had the advantage of the people’s power, while the Gyeonggi region was a close match.
When asked who they would vote for tomorrow if they were elected mayor of Seoul, Song Young-gil of the Democratic Party of Korea 29.5% and People’s Strength Oh Se-hoon 49.1%, leading candidate Oh by 19.6 percentage points.

The election for governor of Gyeonggi-do was a close match within the margin of error with Kim Dong-yeon 37.3% of the Democratic Party of Korea and Kim Eun-hye 36.1% of the people’s strength.

In the Incheon mayoral election, the current mayor, Park Nam-chun of the Democratic Party of Korea, 30.4 percent, and former mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, 37.5 percent, leading Yoo by 7.1 percentage points.
We also looked at approval ratings for superintendent candidates.
In Seoul, Candidate Jo Hee-yeon led the way with 19.6%, Park Seon-young 7.1%, Jo Jeon-hyuk 5.5%, Cho Young-dal 3.3%, Yun Ho-sang 2.2%, Choi Bo-seon 0.9%, Kang Shin-man 0.8%.
Looking at the approval rating by political orientation, 28.6% of the respondents said they would vote for the progressive superintendent of education, 26.6% conservative, and 19.9% moderate.
In Gyeonggi-do, Candidate Tae-hee Lim was 15.2% and Candidate Ki-seon Seong 13.9%, and 70.9% answered that they did not know or had no support for the candidate.
By orientation, 30.9%, 27.1% conservative, and 16.5% moderate, said that they would select a liberal-leaning superintendent.
Incheon Metropolitan City Superintendent of Superintendent Do Seong-hoon was 9.8%, Choi Gye-woon 5.6%, Huh Hoon 3.1%, and Seo Jeong-ho candidate 2.8% were high.
