Rep. Lee Jae-myung, who ran for the party leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, toured Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do to emphasize the reform stance.
Kang Hoon-sik and Park Yong-jin agreed to a unified ‘continue discussion’, but they showed different trends.

Rep. Lee Jae-myung, a powerful party leader in the Democratic Party, visited the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions to appeal for the support of party members.
After the controversial statement that the low-income class supported the ruling party, he took a strong stance that he would prove it with results, saying that reform would be hindered.

Rep. Hoon-sik Kang and Yong-jin Park, who faced Lee, agreed to continue discussing unification, but different subtle currents were detected.
Rep. Park said that he would achieve unification in order to prevent ‘Eo Dae-myung’.

Rep. Kang said that the people do not want unification through political engineering, and that he will focus on the opportunity to reveal his vision and get away from the unification issue.

As voting and touring speeches begin this week in Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, and Incheon and Jeju, competition among party leaders is expected to intensify.
