A survey on the preference for the next presidential candidate of the ruling and opposition parties showed that the decline in support for former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol has slowed.
According to a poll conducted by Realmeter for two days starting on the 26th, commissioned by OhmyNews, former President Yoon, who had a slight drop in approval rating, took the first place with 27.5%, and Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung ranked second with 25.5%.
The gap between the two was 2.0%, which was within the margin of error, but it was found to be wider than in the previous survey.
Former CEO Lee Nak-yeon came in third with 16%, and former Auditor General Choi Jae-hyung climbed 1.3 percentage points to 5.5%, moving up to fourth place.
Next was Rep. Hong Jun-pyo of People’s Power and former Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae, in that order.
