A dam in the state of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil pours out water from a flooded river on the 11th (local time). At least 10 people have been killed and more than 17,000 people have been displaced in the area due to continued torrential rains. The risk of landslides and dam collapses is also increasing. The government has declared a state of emergency in 145 of 853 cities in Minas Gerais.
