Jang Jeong-seok, the new general manager, graduated from Deoksu High School and Chung-Ang University and joined the Hyundai Unicorns in 1996 and started his professional career. After retiring from active duty until 2003 while playing at Hyundai and KIA, general manager Jang achieved 230 wins, 3 draws and 199 losses (win rate of 0.536) in 432 matches as Kiwoom manager from 2016 to 2019.
A KIA official said, “Based on his three years of experience at KIA (2002-2004) as a player, he understands the club atmosphere better than anyone else, and he believes that he will be able to play a central role in the harmony and communication between the front desk and the team.
