As public housing prices rose more than 17% this year, the number of comprehensive real estate taxpayers for housing this year exceeded 1 million for the first time.
When complaints were raised that the tax burden only increased while the house price was reduced due to the comprehensive real estate tax notice, the government is considering a plan to reduce the realization rate to the level of two years ago.

The realization rate of the average public housing prices reflected this year is 71.5%.
In 2020, the Moon Jae-in administration introduced a plan to raise the official price to 90% of the market price within 10 years.
However, as house prices continued to fall due to recent interest rate rises and the economic recession, the government took the initiative to lower the official price realization rate altogether.

The amendment proposed in the second public hearing on the realization of the official price includes the return of next year’s realization rate to the 2020 level.
If this happens, the realization rate applied next year will average 69% based on multi-family housing, which is lower than this year’s 71.5%.
By price range, 68.1% won apartments costing less than 900 million, 69.2% won for apartments between 900 million and 1.5 billion, and 75.3% for 1.5 billion or more.

The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs intends to make a final decision within this week, reflecting the amendments from the public hearing, and make it public.
