The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups have presented a vision to achieve exports of more than 680 billion dollars next year and become the world’s 5th largest exporter and 3rd largest manufacturing company most by 2026.
President Yoon Seok-yeol, who received the New Year’s work report, emphasized that the government and the private sector must work together in a situation where foreign markets are tied in blocs.

The topic of the New Year’s work report presided over by President Yoon Seok-yeol is the spread of national priority and overcoming economic difficulties caused by the energy crisis.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has set a goal of achieving more than 680 billion dollars in exports next year, attracting 100 trillion won in facilities investment and 30 billion dollars in foreign capital investment.
Through this, our vision is to become 5th in exports, 3rd in manufacturing, and 1st in economic territory by 2026.
In order to strengthen exports, we decided to supply trade finance of 360 trillion won, the largest ever, and fully support defense and plant orders along with innovation in the nuclear power plant market.
Although the Ministry of Industry responds preemptively and omnidirectionally to the US inflation reduction law and the EU carbon border system, the US, Japan and Taiwan decided to strategically review semiconductor cooperation from the perspective of national interest.
President Yoon emphasized cooperation between the government and the private sector, saying that export promotion and the success of new businesses are important to overcome the economic crisis.
