[스포티비뉴스=고척, 신원철 기자] Kiwoom laughed in the tie for 5th place. NC couldn’t keep a win rate of 0.500.
Kiwoom Heroes defeated NC Dinos 13-2 at the ‘2021 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League’ held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 12th. Jung-hoo Lee and Byung-ho Park led the attack with three hits and three RBIs side by side. Eric Yokishi’s two runs in seven innings also stood out.
Kiwoom conceded two points to NC in the first inning, but was able to keep a tight atmosphere by making up for it at an early point. After two runs in the bottom of the first inning, Jung-hoo Lee went on base with a right-handed hit and Byeong-ho Park’s RBI double hit.
In the third inning, the concentration of the top batting order stood out. Kim Hye-sung and Lee Jeong-hoo’s consecutive hits at first base made the score 2-2. In Park Byeong-ho’s at-bat, Kim Hye-seong, who was at third base, took advantage of NC starter Drew Luchinski’s error in checking first base, and scored a comeback goal.

Kiwoom definitely took the lead in the fourth inning. Ye Jin-won’s walk, Park Dong-won’s shortstop infield hit, and Shin Jun-woo’s sacrifice bunt gave him all the points he had to score. Lee Yong-gyu scored the RBI with a pitcher’s infield hit and Lee Jung-hoo scored with a left-handed hit. Park Byeong-ho also added RBI, and Kiwoom started leading 6-2.
Kiwoom starter Yokishi quickly found stability after two runs in the first inning. After two shots in the first inning, Altair was grounded to prevent additional runs. From the second inning, there were no more than two runners in an inning. 7 innings, 4 hits, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts and 2 runs (1 earned run) to win. Seung-ho Lee and Jo Sang-woo blocked the remaining two innings.
NC couldn’t save the momentum with two runs in the first inning. Defensively, I had no luck. At the end of the third inning, Shin Jun-woo’s third-base assault hit Noh Jin-hyuk and fell into the outfield, resulting in a double. In the 4th inning, Dong-Won Park’s shortstop assault bat fell outside Park Joon-Young’s field of view and became an infield hit, and Lee Yong-Gyu’s ground ball was also changed to an infield hit that matched Pitcher Luchinsky’s glove.
Luchinsky was substituted after conceding 6 runs (5 earned runs) in 4 innings. NC changed pitchers every inning and prepared for a 6-7 straight game this week. In the 7th, Lee Yong-jun, a rookie in the second round of the draft, who joined this year, made his debut. Lee Yong-jun suffered a bitter taste in his first appearance in the first team with three runs in ⅔ innings.
