The virtual currency exchange FTX, which filed for bankruptcy in the US court, lost 870 billion worth of virtual assets, and the company is conducting an investigation with the possibility of hacking in mind.

Bloomberg News reported on the 12th local time that $662 million of digital tokens, 870 billion won of our currency, were leaked from FTX FTX International and FTX US coin trading platforms in the last 24 hours.

The money leak, which raises the possibility of a hack, came shortly after FTX filed for bankruptcy protection in the US state of Delaware the previous day.

FTX said it is investigating unusual movements in the consolidation of FTX account balances and has begun moving all digital assets into ‘cold storage’, crypto wallets not connected to the internet for safekeeping .

It also advised customers to uninstall the FTX app and not visit the website.

The disappearing virtual assets are said to be immediately exchanged for Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency, after leaving FTX.
