CNN cited data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the CDC that the delta mutation has spread rapidly over the past two months.

As a result of analyzing the genes of those infected from the 18th to the 31st of last month, 93.4% of cases were confirmed as delta mutations.

The proportion, which was only in the 1% range at the end of April, rose to the 10% level at the end of May, and exceeded 90% at the end of last month, two months later.

In fact, it has been confirmed that the delta mutation is sweeping away.

Health officials believe that the highly contagious delta mutation is spreading among unvaccinated people.

Recently, the number of new infections per day has already exceeded 100,000.

Johns Hopkins University counted 127,000 new infections on the 2nd and 106,000 on the 3rd.

Because of this, hospitals in the central and southern states, the major outbreak locations, are nearly saturated.

However, the average number of vaccinations per week has been 440,000.

Although it is increasing recently, it will be another six months for all Americans to get at least one dose of the vaccine.

The White House response team believes that the recent re-spreading is inevitable until winter unless more than one million vaccines are given a day.
