[국제]At least 3 dead in 50-car collision on U.S. highway in blizzard

Dozens of vehicles collided in a series of bad weather on a highway in Pennsylvania on the 28th local time, killing at least three people and injuring 20 others, the Associated Press reported.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, there was a major traffic accident involving 50 to 60 vehicles on Highway 81 passing through Skuilkill County around 10:36 a.m.

The Skuilkill County Coroner’s Office has confirmed three deaths so far, but believes the number of casualties is likely to rise due to the large number of burnt vehicles.

Authorities analyzed that drivers’ visibility was extremely narrowed by the blizzard and that the road became slippery, which is likely to be the cause of the series of crashes.
