The European Union (EU) has proposed the establishment of a special court with the support of the United Nations.

To investigate and prosecute Russian war crimes.

This is because the International Criminal Court (ICC) does not have jurisdiction over Russia or Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Zelensky, said that special courts must be carefully prepared in order for them to function properly, and that he is particularly looking forward to Britain’s role.

A plan to hold Russia accountable for war reparations is also taking shape.

Ukraine’s financial loss is estimated at 600 billion euros, or about 818 trillion won.

The EU is trying to leverage Russia’s seized assets to pay for recovery.

The EU froze 300 billion euros in the assets of the Russian Central Bank and 19 billion euros in the assets of new Russian conglomerates.

Previously, the G7, the seven major countries, decided to form a network for the investigation of Russia into war crimes and the preservation of evidence after the first meeting of the justice minister in Berlin, Germany.

International pressure is mounting on Russia, which gave back half of the occupied territories, including Kherson, as a result of a counterattack by Ukrainian forces.
