[국제]European stocks plunge by 3-4% amid Ukraine crisis and fears of US tightening

Amid the geopolitical crisis surrounding Ukraine and concerns about austerity from the US, major European stock markets have plunged since the beginning of the week.

On the 25th local time, the DAX30 index of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany closed at 15,011.13, down 3.80% from the closing price of the previous trading day, and the CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France, down 3.97% to close at 6,787.79.

The pan-European index Euro Stoxx50 fell 4.14% to 4,054.36 and London’s FTSE 100 fell 2.63% to 7,297.15, respectively.

As the possibility of a Russian invasion of Ukraine grew, markets feared that austerity measures to avoid inflation risks would accelerate further.
