Following the UK’s announcement of a plan to cancel quarantine-related quarantine regulations, France also announced that it would gradually ease quarantine regulations starting next month.

Concerns are being raised that the COVID-19 situation has begun to improve.

French Prime Minister Jean Castex announced in a press conference on the 20th local time that he would gradually ease restrictions on quarantine related to the corona virus from next month.

From the 2nd of next month, you will no longer have to wear a mask outdoors, the limit on the number of visitors placed at stadiums or performance halls will be abolished, and the duty to work from home will disappear.

Also, from the 16th, eating and drinking in theaters and other places will be allowed, nightclubs will be open, and students will no longer have to wear masks in the classroom after winter break.

This is based on the judgment that the spread of micron mutations has passed its peak and the overall situation is starting to improve.

However, the vaccine pass that has passed the Congress will be put into effect on the 24th.

You cannot use restaurants, cafes, or long-distance trains without a vaccine pass that proves you have been vaccinated or that you have coronavirus antibodies in your body.

He added, however, that the vaccine pass could be discontinued if the situation improved.

However, with more than 425,000 new confirmed cases on the 20th, there are also voices of concern about the easing of quarantine regulations.

The scientific advisory body to the French government has warned that the current spread of omicron mutations could continue to strain the hospital system until mid-March.
