[국제]Holland transports patients to Germany…Europe is in the midst of the 4th pandemic

[앵커]

There is concern that Europe is increasingly being plunged into the swamp of the fourth COVID-19 pandemic.

The Netherlands, where the number of confirmed cases has recently surged, is finally starting to send patients to neighboring Germany, and the WHO has warned that 700,000 people could die in Europe by March next year.

The Netherlands, which is full of hospitals, has begun to transport patients to neighboring Germany.

In the Netherlands, more than 23,000 people were infected with Corona 19 in one day on Tuesday alone, and about 154,000 people in the last week.

Austria, which declared the end of the coronavirus pandemic last summer, but recently entered a nationwide lockdown, is struggling to expand vaccination.

But the WHO has issued a gruesome warning.

By March next year, there could be an additional 700,000 deaths in Europe due to COVID-19.

Currently, the cumulative death toll in Europe is 1.5 million.

The WHO is concerned that an increase in severe cases in 49 out of 53 countries in Europe will overload health care systems.
