According to Bloomberg News, the global investment bank Goldman Sachs predicted this.
If the ‘Omicron’ spreads faster than the delta mutation, the global economic growth rate next year will be 4.2%, which could fall by more than 0.4 percentage points from the current forecast.
Goldman Sachs gave a clue that it could only be judged when specific results were obtained, but Bloomberg assessed that the emergence of ‘Omicron’ alone is damaging the global economy.
He also warned that there could be a situation where countries should be worried about stagflation, which is a simultaneous occurrence of inflation and recession as countries go into lockdown again.
Recently, in Europe and the United States, as the economy recovered from the COVID-19 recession, energy demand increased, and crude oil prices soared and inflation continued.

The Washington Post reported that the Biden administration is already seeing booster shots as their best bet and encouraging as many people as possible.
Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said, “What is certain is that if you get a booster shot, your immunity will rise significantly,” said Anthony Fauci, several times higher than the highest level after the first two doses.
While vaccine development is expected to become more active, American pharmaceutical company Moderna announced that a vaccine for ‘Omicron’ could be released early next year.
