A man who committed a sexual assault in India murdered his wife six months after marrying the victim.
On the 31st of last month, local media such as the Times of India reported that Rajesh Roy, a resident of Delhi, India, was arrested on charges of luring his wife into a deserted cave, strangling her, and throwing her body down a cliff.
Previously, Rajesh Roy was imprisoned after raping a woman in Delhi in July last year, but was released on bail after three months in prison on condition that he marry the victim.
Roy actually married the victim two months after his release, but he murdered his wife six months later and confessed to the crime after police investigation.
In India, in case of sexual assault, it is recommended as a kind of ‘reasonable solution’ to beat the victim and marry a man in the name of protecting the honor of the family.
