[국제]“Putin may have had surgery in 2016 and 2019… Visit a cancer specialist”

An oncologist has been visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin recently, and it has been suggested that he may have had at least two major surgeries.

The British daily The Times delivered a report by Proact, a Russian investigative media outlet, amid rumors of an abnormal health surrounding Putin.

Proact analyzed government documents and said that between 2016 and 2020, when Putin stayed at his official residence in Sochi or disappeared for several days, his doctors confirmed that he was staying at a hotel near the residence.

By 2019, an average of nine doctors accompanied Putin to Sochi, and two doctors specializing in otolaryngology and a surgeon specializing in thyroid cancer appeared regularly.

In addition to these, anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons and infectious disease specialists, and intensive care unit doctors were also included on the list of medical personnel visiting Putin’s Sochi residence.

Medical staff arrived at the hotel a day before Putin’s visit to his official residence, and the number of doctors staying there has risen sharply in 2016 and 2019, Proact said, suggesting that Putin may have had surgery.
