[국제]Russia says Crimea is Russian, not negotiable

Russia’s presidential office spokeswoman Dmitry Peskov said Crimea is part of Russia on the issue of the peninsula, an issue in the peace negotiations, and that the Russian constitution prohibits discussions on territorial issues.

Spokesperson Peskov said that while it was positive that Ukraine had proposed and documented specifics during the fifth round of negotiations, there was still much work to be done, saying that no breakthrough was seen in the rest of the negotiations.

Russia forcibly annexed Crimea, Ukraine’s territory, in 2014, but the international community did not recognize it, and it has been discussed as an issue in the peace negotiations.

Peskov also said that Russia would not demand immediate application of gas export payments in rubles.
