The 16th G20 Summit, with the theme of ‘People, Earth and Prosperity’, opened in Rome, Italy on the 30th local time.
This summit, scheduled for two days until the 31st, is the first face-to-face meeting since 2019.
The 15th meeting in November last year, when Saudi Arabia was the chair country, was held over video in the aftermath of COVID-19.
This year’s conference consisted of the first session on the international economy and health sector, the second session focusing on climate change and the environment, and the third session on sustainable development.
The key agendas are responding to climate change, overcoming the pandemic crisis, recovering the global economy, and resolving the energy crisis.
