In 2007, Pelosi became the first female speaker in US history to be elected.
At the moment, aged 82, he has been under pressure for a generational change within the party, despite the evaluation that he has carried out the position of Speaker of the House without difficulty.
It is analyzed that the case of the husband’s attack, which happened just before the mid-term elections, also influenced the decision.
The Democrats lost the House majority in the mid-term elections, and Republican Kevin McCarthy is likely to be the next Speaker of the House.

If McCarthy becomes Speaker of the House, the check on President Joe Biden is expected to be further strengthened.
Meanwhile, President Biden’s second son, Hunter Biden, has been promised an investigation into state affairs, an overhaul of the Inflation Reduction Act, and a reduction in Ukraine’s war aid budget.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is officially the third most powerful member of the state, but is considered more influential than the Vice President, who is second in line, as he handles various budget bills and bills.
McCarthy is a representative of Trump’s lawmaker party, and depending on the degree to which he confirms his position in the House of Representatives, it is expected to affect the presidential election next year.
