The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) rover ‘Perseverance’ has sent us an interesting picture of the terrain in the shape of a snake’s head.

This photo, captured on the 12th local time, was taken at ‘Jezero Crater’, which is believed to be the ancient triangle of Mars, and is reminiscent of the Devil’s Crusade, the setting of the movie ‘Indiana Jones’.

If you look at the published photo, you can see a snake-shaped rock with an open mouth on the right, and an altar and a small skull-shaped rock on the left. It is known that the presence of these diverse features increases the likelihood of life beings.

It has already been a year since Perseverance went to Mars. Perseverance is the 5th Mars Exploration Rover made by NASA.

The rover is considered one of the most sophisticated rovers the US has ever sent to Mars. It is similar in design to ‘Curiosity’, which has been exploring Mars for 10 years, but it contains technological advances such as upgrading the landing accuracy of the probe.

Perseverance’s primary mission is to find traces of ancient life on Mars and collect samples for return to Earth. For example, the ancient delta region located inside the crater is considered the best place to find traces of life on Mars.

Meanwhile, US Mars rover rovers such as Perseverance and Curiosity have recently been taking pictures of unusual topographic features that are believed to be caused by water erosion and deposition on Mars. In particular, on the 15th of last month, a sharp object like a small mineral flower was photographed and became a hot topic.

We can’t wait to see what interesting Mars images we’ll capture in the future.
