Today, the weekend, the autumn rainy season has begun across the country.

Heavy rain warnings have been issued in various places including Seoul and the metropolitan area.

Let’s take a closer look at the weather. Park Hyun-sik, caster!

Yes, it is in the outdoor studio in Sangam-dong.

[앵커]

A heavy rain advisory has been issued for Seoul as well, right?

[캐스터]

Yes, the rain in Seoul is getting stronger as time goes by.

This is because strong rain clouds continue to flow in from the inland to the west.

Currently, heavy rain advisories have been issued for Seoul and other metropolitan areas, and rainfall of close to 40 mm per hour is concentrated in Ongjin-gun, Incheon, in particular.

During the day, water bombs of 30 to 50 millimeters per hour are expected to be dropped across the interior of the country.

As there are concerns about flooding and landslide damage in low-lying areas, please thoroughly inspect the surrounding area.

Let’s start with the radar screen.

The stagnant front, which poured heavy rains on China and Japan, moved north inland, and as it reached low pressure, a long band of rain clouds flowed from north to south in the west inland.

As a result, strong rainfall of 40 mm per hour is concentrated in Incheon, Taean, Chungcheongnam-do, and Changwon, Gyeongnam.

In particular, a heavy rain warning is in effect for the Gyeongnam coast including Changwon, and the heavy rain warning has been extended to the metropolitan area including Seoul and Yeongseo regions an hour ago following the southern and west coasts.

Until tomorrow, it will rain 400 mm or more in the mountains of Jeju and 300 mm in maximum on Jeju Island, 200 mm or more in the southern coast and near Mt.

Along with rain, strong winds are also emergency.

At 8 o’clock this morning, a small typhoon-like gust of 32.2 m/s was recorded at Baengnokdam, Jeju Island.

A strong wind advisory has been issued for Jeju Island, the west coast, and the southern coast, and strong winds of up to 20 m/s will blow until early tomorrow morning.

Following the autumn rainy season, at 9 o’clock last night, the 12th typhoon ‘Omais’ occurred in the distant seas of Okinawa.

The typhoon will gradually move northward and weaken to a tropical depression by tomorrow night.

However, strong rain clouds left by the typhoon will move north to the southern coast, and there is a high possibility that more rain will fall on the southern coast and Jeju Island in the future under the influence of strong water vapor.

Please keep an eye out for weather information to be announced in the future.

This autumn rainy season will last for a long time until the end of this month.

In particular, guerrilla torrential downpours are likely to pour as stagnant fronts go up and down all over the central and southern regions, so please wait patiently so as not to be damaged by heavy rain.

Until now, this is YTN Park Hyun-sik.
