A poll showed that Yoon Seok-yeol, the People’s Strength presidential candidate, outranked Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, by more than 9.8 percent in terms of the suitability of the next presidential candidate.

As a result of a survey of 1007 voters across the country on the 19th and 20th of the 19th and 20th of the last month by People Networks Research (PNR), a polling company commissioned by New Daily and Sisa Gyeongnam, on the suitability of the next president, Candidate Yoon recorded 46.5% and Candidate Lee recorded 36.7%. The gap in the approval ratings of the two candidates is 9.8%p (with a margin of error of ±3.1%p).

In last week’s survey, Candidates Yoon and Lee scored 48.3% and 32.2%, respectively. The gap in approval ratings between the two candidates was 16.1 percentage points. However, in this survey, Candidate Yoon’s approval rating dropped by 1.8%p and Lee’s approval rating rebounded by 4.5%p, narrowing the gap between the two candidates by 6.3%p.

As in last week’s survey, the approval ratings of Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung are high in this survey, and it seems that the 3rd Zone is not gaining strength. Looking at Zone 3, it was found that the support rate was low with Ahn Cheol-soo of the People’s Party candidate at 3.0%, Sim Sang-jeong of the Justice Party candidate at 2.6%, and former Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon at 1.0%.

In particular, Ahn’s approval ratings declined slightly compared to last week’s poll. Candidates Ahn Cheol-soo fell 0.8%p compared to last week, and Shim Sang-jung (0.2%p↓) and Kim Dong-yeon (0.5%p↓) also fell slightly. In addition, responses from other people (0.4%p↓) and none (0.8%p↓) also declined. The respondents who said they did not know were counted as the same as last week’s survey.

In a survey by party support, 85.2% of supporters of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea supported Lee, who is the Liberal party candidate, and 6.8% supported candidate of People’s Power, Candidate Yoon. Likewise, 86.1% of supporters of People’s Power supported the S party candidate Yoon, and 2.8% supported Lee.

On the other hand, in Zone 3, it was found that they preferred other candidates to the saffron candidates. 38.9% of supporters of the Justice Party, classified as pan-passport, supported Lee Jae-myung, and 29.9% of Sardangist candidate Shim Sang-jung. Compared to 5.3% of candidates who responded with Ahn Cheol-soo, the National People’s Party was counted at 81.6% for Yoon and 7.7% for Lee.

This survey was conducted using a wired and wireless automatic answering phone survey method. The subjects were selected at the rate of 85% cell phone RDD and 15% landline RDD, and the final response rate was 5.7% and the sampling error was ±3.1%p at the 95% confidence level.

After the survey was completed, weighted values ​​by region, gender, and age were assigned (rim weighted) based on the resident registration population of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in October 2021.
