All-round entertainment Lim Chang-jeong entered the liquor business.

Following Park Jae-beom’s soju and Baek Jong-won’s makgeolli, fusion makgeolli and soju aimed at the MZ generation are heralding a big bang in the liquor market.

Im Chang-jung recently introduced ‘Im Chang-jeong Honey Rice Powder Makgeolli’ in partnership with Cho Eun-sul Sejong in Cheongju, North Chungcheong, which manufactures ‘Udo Peanut Traditional Wine’ and distilled soju ‘Ido’.

‘Lim Chang-jeong Honey Rice Powder Makgeolli’, which was introduced first, was a product sold by Lim Chang-jeong’s franchise ‘Fresh pork belly’, and it was commercialized because of the enthusiastic response.

This recipe was directly applied to this product by Lim Chang-jung who decided the mixing ratio.

Before the official release, on the 23rd and 24th, a promotional event was held at the Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlet Fountain Square, and the response was hot. It was originally planned to sell 5,000 bottles over two days, but all the prepared quantities were sold out only on the first day.

While preparing for the national tour, Lim Chang-jung took time out of his busy schedule to hold an on-site autograph session and actively promoted it.

‘Im Changjeong Honey Rice Powder Makgeolli’ (750ml, 3300 won) is characterized by the sweetness of honey and the savory taste of wheat flour. It is attractive for people who are weak in alcohol and women to enjoy.

Following makgeolli, Lim Chang-jung soju will be introduced in July. ‘A glass of soju’, inspired by his hit song, is available in two versions: the regular line and the premium line. The premium line is known for its distilled soju made with 100% domestic rice.

Lim Chang-jung, who confessed that he had to sell the copyright for the popular song ‘A Cup of Soju’ for his entertainment business, posted 4.5 billion won in sales last year despite the corona virus.

Starting with the restaurant franchise ‘Lim Chang-jung Corner Jokbal’, and launching a brand specializing in ribs such as ‘Lim Chang-jeong’s Great Rib’, it is actively entering into various catering businesses.

He succeeded as the CEO of the catering industry and is called ‘Baek Jong-won in the entertainment industry’, and he appeared on an entertainment show and revealed his own unique management philosophy, saying, “I opened a store to spread delicious food to people.”

In addition, “‘Food Master’ Baek Jong-won develops dishes himself, but I am a ‘artisan of food sharing’ who gets recipes from restaurants.
