Banksy says it’s a ‘fake’… Can I open an exhibition without the artist’s permission?

Banksy, a graffiti artist who satirizes war, inequality, and the snobbish nature of modern people, is also known as the so-called faceless artist.

A Banksy exhibition is being held, and it is controversial because it did not have the artist’s permission.

Reporter Lee Seung-eun reports.

Banksy, who suddenly appears on the street and blows a witty blow to the established order,

The price is soaring, with a painting that satirizes a member of the National Assembly as a chimpanzee sold for 15 billion won, and a work depicting a hero in the Corona era was sold for 22.4 billion won.

Exhibitions introducing Banksy have popped up all over the world, and are being held in Korea as well.

The problem is that he didn’t get copyright permission from Banksy, who is completely hiding his identity.

Banksy also said that there are about 20 exhibitions under his name on his website, but none of the exhibitions agreed with him are ‘fake’.

Most of the exhibits are reproduced or reproduced in a different form by taking an image rather than the original.

This seems to be because Banksy’s works are mostly graffiti painted on the street, and exhibitions are being held overseas at the same time.

It is also a problem that it is not properly notified whether it is a reproduction or a reproduction.

Controversy is growing as it is pointed out that street art is difficult to convey values properly in the exhibition hall.
