As of 00:00 today, the number of new COVID-19 patients is 3,928, and the spread continues if it remains around 4,000 for the fifth day.
As the scale of the spread grows, the number of severe cases and deaths is at an all-time high.
Thirteen patients were added in a day with severe severe cases, and the current number is 647, a record high.
As the ‘highest’ of severe cases continued every day, the death toll also recorded 56, a record high.
With this, the cumulative number of deaths in Korea has risen to 3,548.
Looking at the route of infection, 3,893 cases were domestic and 35 were imported.
By region, there were 3,027 patients in Seoul and other metropolitan areas, accounting for 77.8% of domestic cases.
The proportion of non-metropolitan areas was 22.2%, with patients in Busan, Chungnam, Gyeongbuk and Daegu.
To minimize the size of the confirmed case and damage, 32,431 people received the first new vaccination yesterday, and the cumulative number is 42,510,125, and the inoculation rate is 82.8%.
A total of 40,900,924 people have been vaccinated, with an additional 45,760 people completing the vaccination, and the completion rate is 79.7%.
After completion of the vaccination, the number of additional vaccinations increased by 70,433 to a cumulative total of 2,842,146.
