As concerns about security incidents have increased since the ‘Itaewon Disaster’, there have been many requests for the police to use riot police to control crowds.
In a situation where large-scale town center rallies are organized every weekend, local governments and private units are pouring into the demand for the use of riot police, and complaints on the site are piling up.

As concerns about security incidents increase after the disaster, complaints are pouring in from all over the place asking the police to use riot police.
An official from the Security Department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said that after the disaster, requests to send riot police to events held by private units or local governments have increased.
In fact, last weekend, the police riot squad was exceptionally deployed at an essay and interview site at a major university in Seoul.
As well as the city marathon and bike parade, around 120 personnel from two riot squads were deployed across the city last weekend alone.
Even local governments insisted on sending a riot squad to the election site for local sports club executives.
Sighs are also gathering at the scene as requests to use the riot police flood in from all over the place mainly overlapping the weekends when large scale rallies are held in the city.
It is not uncommon for employees to return on weekends, as well as postpone pre-arranged days off until the end of the year.
In the police, there are concerns that there could be more manpower shortages in the future as the task force’s task, which was originally listed as the main priority in the avoidance department, increases.
