With more than 70% of the nation expected to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine soon, flu vaccines for children and pregnant women started yesterday.

In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine, the flu vaccine is being vaccinated at this hospital.

Hospital officials said on Wednesday that there were not many people being vaccinated, especially.

Today (15th) at this hospital, 35 people will get the Pfizer vaccine and 1 will get the flu vaccine.

As the flu vaccine began yesterday for high-risk groups such as children and pregnant women, the COVID-19 and flu vaccines are being vaccinated at the same time.

The government is of the opinion that there is no problem with safety even if there is no time lag between vaccines.

However, it is recommended to leave a few days gap between different types of vaccinations.

14.6 million people, including children aged 6 months to 13 years old, pregnant women, and senior citizens over 65 years of age, are eligible for free influenza vaccine.

Children aged 6 months to 8 years old and pregnant women started receiving the vaccine from yesterday, children aged 9 to 13 years old from the 14th of the next month, and the elderly from the 12th of the next month.

In addition to this, vaccinations against COVID-19 are being carried out at immunization centers and consigned medical institutions across the country, including this hospital.

The quarantine authorities showed confidence in achieving the goal of ‘70% of the nation’s primary vaccination’ before the Chuseok holiday.

As of 00:00 today (15th), there were 34.58 million people who received the first vaccine, recording a vaccination rate of 67.3%.

When 1.42 million people are vaccinated, the vaccination rate will exceed 70%.

With the vaccination progress going smoothly, with the number of first doses of the vaccine reaching 600,000 people a day yesterday, it seems that the goal will be achieved sooner or later.
