Prosecutors investigating the allegation of large-scale dong have summoned former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, who was designated as being on the so-called ‘5 billion club’ list, and the president of the media at the same time.
The investigation into allegations of lobbying is on track, and former Seongnam City Council Chairman Choi Yoon-gil, who is suspected of receiving billions of won in lobbying during the development project, was also called to the police.

The special investigation team of the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office summoned former Special Prosecutor Park Young-soo and Mr.
It is the first time that two people have been summoned to the prosecution among the members of the “5 billion club” that Rep. Park Soo-young of People’s Power revealed last month.

It was found that the prosecution investigated the allegations raised against former special prosecutor Park whether he was aware of the suspicion of his daughter’s preferential sale of an apartment in Daejang-dong and the nature of the 10 billion won in Hwacheon Daewoo funds received by the representative of a sales agency that was related to him.
As for Chairman Hong, it is said that he confirmed the details of the lobbying allegations and the background of several large-scale financial transactions with Kim Man-bae last year.
However, former Special Prosecutor Park maintains the position that Hwacheon Daeyu received no money other than torture, and that he did not know anything about the transaction between his in-laws and Mr. Kim Man-bae.
Along with Chairman Hong, Mr. Kim Man-bae, who has completely denied the ‘5 billion club’ allegation, is also of the position that the transaction between the two was a normal loan using a IOU.
The prosecution, who prosecuted Kim and his group on the 22nd and shifted the weight of the investigation to suspicions of superiors and lobbying, is first aiming at the ‘5 billion club’.
There are also observations that the summons of former lawmaker Kwak Sang-do, who was searched and confiscated on charges of mediating 5 billion won in his son’s retirement allowance, is also imminent.
The police are accelerating the investigation into allegations of lobbying against the Seongnam City Council.
After the bribery allegations surfaced, Choi Yoon-gil, the former chairman of the board, was summoned as a suspect and investigated.

Former Chairman Choi is accused of leading the passage of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation establishment plan at the city council in 2013 ahead of the Daejang-dong project and receiving a large sum of money in return.
Police suspect that after leaving the city council, he worked as vice chairman of Daeyu Hwacheon and agreed to receive 4 billion won in bribes in the name of performance pay.
