After establishing a call center in China, the police arrested an organization that made phone calls to Korea to commit voice phishing crimes.
Those who had been active in China and Korea were tied up and caught in Korea after restrictions on entry and departure due to the spread of Corona 19.

A so-called ‘Simbox’ is a machine that converts overseas Internet phone numbers into domestic mobile phone numbers.
A group of people who used ‘Simbox’ to conduct voice phishing crimes both domestically and internationally were caught by the police.

To avoid police pursuit, these organizations set up a call center in Qingdao, China, and made a voice phishing call using ‘Simbox’.
Victims received calls with domestic numbers instead of overseas numbers without much doubt.
3.2 billion won was stolen from 189 victims over the past three years by cheating with an investigative agency or using financial loans as bait.

As a result of the police investigation, they provided ‘cannon phones’ and ‘simboxes’ to voice phishing organizations in the past.
In 2019, I planned to commit the crime myself, and I went to China.
The people who committed crimes between China and Korea were caught by the police while staying in Korea as it became difficult to enter and leave the country due to the spread of Corona 19.
