The first death under the age of 10 has occurred in Korea since the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters on the 30th, as of 00:00 on the same day, 44 more people died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 3,624.
Of those who died, 26 were over 80, 8 were in their 70s, 7 were in their 60s, and 2 were in their 50s. In particular, there was one death for the first time in the age group of 0-9, and authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation.
Previously, on the 22nd, a mother who was diagnosed with COVID-19 at the 25th week of pregnancy gave birth prematurely and gave birth to her fetus, and the deceased fetus tested positive for COVID-19. However, the authorities decided to exclude the virus from the statistics of confirmed cases and deaths, considering the condition before birth notification because the virus was confirmed in a premature fetus.
On this day, 661 patients with severe serious illness recorded the highest number again in two days.
