[속보] ‘Shindang Station Stalking Murder’ Jeon Joo-hwan “I’m so sorry… I went crazy.”

Jeon Joo-hwan, 31, was handed over to the prosecution on the 21st, who killed a station worker in the women’s restroom at Sindang Station on Seoul’s Subway Line 2.

The Seoul Central Police Station arrested Jeon Joo-hwan, who is charged with revenge murder under the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes Act (Special Charges Act), to the prosecution at around 7:30 am on the same day.

Jeon, who appeared before reporters without wearing a mask, said, “I’m very sorry. I did something really crazy.” He bowed his head. To the reporter’s question, “Is there anything you want to say to the grieving family?”, he replied “I’m sorry.”

Jeon Joo-hwan is expected to be detained at the Seoul Detention Center after a preliminary investigation by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.

Jeon Joo-hwan is suspected of stalking a female station worker at the Seoul Transport Corporation who had been stalking him on the 14th and murdering her with a knife in the ladies’ restroom at Sindang Station.
