Yoo Hee-kwan (36), the first left-handed pitcher in the KBO League to surpass 100 wins, announced his retirement from active duty on the 18th. Hee-kwan Yoo, who joined Doosan in 2009, has a career record of 101 wins, 69 losses, 1 save, 4 holds and an ERA of 4.58. He also set a record of 10 wins for the fourth time in history (2013-2020) for eight consecutive years. It was called ‘the aesthetics of slowness’ due to its sophisticated game operation despite the slow speed of 130 km/h. Yoo Hee-kwan said, “I saw my juniors growing up, and I thought it was time to step down for them.”
