The night before Halloween Day on the 31st, a rare sight unfolded.
On the afternoon of the 30th, the area around Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul was full of people enjoying the Halloween festival. Halloween is today (the 31st), but many people came out on the street as the Halloween atmosphere was formed from Thursday.
Citizens who visited Itaewon were excited with the anticipation of with Corona, that is, a step-by-step recovery of daily life, which will begin on the 1st of next month.
People who left the store gathered at the nearby stairs, alleys, and streets after the closing time of 10 pm to continue drinking. They all got together to dance and sing songs. In response, the police spurred the crackdown, saying, “Disband everyone,” but to no avail.
The three citizens who rode on the Itaewon road waved their hands, saying, “I rode horses from Gangnam to Itaewon.” When asked where he got the horse, he replied, “I personally own it.”
In addition, one citizen got drunk and was taken to an ambulance while another citizen had a group drinking party with friends in front of the closed shop. Thousands of citizens did not leave the streets of Itaewon even after midnight.
Police said, “This year seems to be much worse than last year’s Halloween.” “There are more reports this year compared to last year. There are no plans to evacuate until everyone is disbanded.”
